Tilebit – Components and inspiration for Webflow, Figma, and Framer

SaaS

The Problem

Arnau Ros is a designer and YouTuber with more than 80k subscribers. With Tilebit, he wanted to turn his experience and community into a library of components and inspiration for Webflow, Figma, and Framer, but doing that required a platform more solid than a simple showcase website.

The main challenges were:

  1. Technical Expertise: As a designer and content creator, Arnau lacked extensive technical expertise in web development and backend integration required to build and manage a complex platform like Tilebit.
  2. Content Organization: With a vast collection of components and inspirations spanning multiple platforms, Arnau needed an efficient system for organizing and categorizing content within Tilebit to ensure a seamless user experience.
  3. Monetization Strategy: Arnau aimed to monetize Tilebit by offering premium features and subscription-based access to exclusive content. However, he wanted a platform that would allow him to manage not only payments but also taxes since it is international.

Solution

I helped Arnau plan and turn the idea into a real platform: we defined the right tools for content, payments, access, and dynamic data, then I built the integrations needed to make Tilebit work inside Webflow.

  1. Webflow CMS: I utilized Webflow's CMS functionality to establish a structured content management system for organizing components and inspirations within Tilebit. This enabled Arnau to efficiently manage and update content across the platform.
  2. Front-end JavaScript: I wrote the custom logic needed to fetch data from the backend and display it inside the Webflow site, turning a CMS structure into a more dynamic and interactive experience.
  3. Paddle: I integrated Paddle, a leading subscription management platform, to facilitate seamless subscription management, payment processing, and revenue tracking for Tilebit. This enabled Arnau to implement a robust monetization strategy and offer subscription-based access to premium features.
  4. Outseta: Outseta offers a comprehensive suite of tools for managing the essential aspects of a SaaS business, including payments (for this project we used Paddle instead), authentication, CRM, help desk and email marketing. By centralizing these functions into one platform, Outseta simplifies the operational complexities of running a subscription-based business, allowing founders to focus on what truly matters: building and growing their product.
  5. Custom Xano backend: I integrated Xano, a no-code backend, to handle dynamic data processing and API integrations within Tilebit.
